The School of Tomorrow, Today

The Hadley Learning Community opened on the 1st September 2006 and is located in the community of Hadley in central Telford. HLC is a £70 million PFI project, in partnership with Interserve that represents a major investment by the Brorough of Telford & Wrekin Council in creating a 21st Century learning campus.

The HLC is unique in providing education in three phases as well as extensive community facilities for sport, the arts and life-long learning. The campus consists of: an 1100 place secondary school for 11-16 year olds; a 420 place primary school with a 64 place Nursery; a 160 place special school for children with severe and profound disabilities (co-location of the Bridge School): a Childrens’ Centre and ABC Nursery; Community Facilities for Sports, Arts, Lifelong Learning and a Public Library.

An entire staff was recruited and an innovative cross phase curriculum has been developed for this blueprint for the ‘Building Schools for the Future’ scheme.
